We talked about corn today!
Each week we will have a different Study come fall.
I decided to make my own corn study this week.
During our discussion times, the children came up with many things about corn
Skylar said the corn felt soft
Kate said it looks like popcorn and can be fed to bears
Frankie can balance the corn
We learned that the corn can bounce!
Lucy said it feels good in your hands
The children also came up with a few more things about corn.
It is yellow, can be scooped, eaten when cooked, and can be gathered!
We read a short story that showed where corn comes from
Ask your children what they learned about corn this week!
Frankie shared a new book with us as well.
The children really enjoyed it!
We practiced some of the moves in the book
Then we went outside to use the tunnels and bouncy balls, just like in the book!
Thank you Frankie (and family) for sharing this book with us!
It gave us more discussion ideas as to what else can bounce besides corn!
