We glued some little string to make "trees" today!

A great way to get those little fingers working :)

We then talked about things in our environment that we recognize

Our question of the day was "how can we make a box?"

The kiddos love these magnetic blocks and they had so much fun working together to make boxes out of them!

Last week we had a discussion about occupations and what the children wanted to be 

when they grew up. 

Here is what they said:

Drew: Police 

Ari: Tow Truck driver

Kate:  Singer

Quinn: Teacher

Brianna: Mail lady

Frankie:  Fire Fighter

Making a library out of our boxes

Today we read a book about boxes, and how we can use our imaginations to make boxes into anything we want!  In the book, the character went to the library in his box.  We decided to do the same!

We also practiced our fine motor skills by cutting things out of magazines.

Remember, it's not the end product that matters... it's the skill they learn while doing it!

Cutting with scissors helps the kiddos get their fingers moving so it is easier to hold a pencil for writing and coloring.
