This is a small glimpse into one of the things we do at
Large Group time!
We have had a busy couple weeks and plan on keeping it that way!
Pinecone painting was a huge hit!
Then we made the pinecones into pretty decorations!
Our sensory table is full of fun Christmas items.
The girls were "dressing up for a party" the other day :)
Today we talked about Christmas time and read the
Story of Baby Jesus.
We also talked about the different ways people celebrate the Holiday season.
Some of the children followed the dots and made a stable with baby Jesus inside!
We also talked about what we could put into breads to make them sweet.
Here is what some of them came up with:
Quinn: Peanut Butter & Jelly or Blueberries
Kate: Strawberries
Lily: Peanut Butter
Graham: Butter
Lucy: Sugar
Graham is showing us the Chocolate Babka photo,
which is a Jewish sweet bread popular in the United States
We talked about how we can buy breads in the grocery store and we tasted a few that I had brought in.
We also chatted about how some breads can be a bit unhealthy but eaten in moderation are ok.
We talked about making some healthy bread choices in the next few weeks.
We tasted Stuffing bread, English Muffin, an Everything Bagel, Whole wheat sandwich bread, Dinner rolls, and a little loaf of bread that was in the shape of lips!
Here are the favorites:
Quinn: Sandwich bread
Zander: Lip bread
Isaac: Lip bread
Graham: Everything Bagel
Kate: Sandwich bread
Frankie: Lip bread
Lily: Stuffing bread
Abe: Stuffing bread
Lucy: Everything Bagel
Loving our Christmas Sensory Table!
All ready for some fun!
Happy Tuesday!
