We have two Candy Land games that are missing pieces so we
REUSED pieces from both games to make one!
Handwriting time!
(Kate is working on her lowercase e and is very excited!)
This week we've been talking a lot about reusing or repurposing things from the recycle
to make new things.
Kate is reusing an egg carton to make a castle for the princesses
Frankie is making a Dinosaur with a recycled dish tab container!
Lucy is making a "mirror box" she says!
Zander is making a car ramp
and Lily is making an Alligator out of Oatmeal containers!
Drew is making a little house with an empty glove box
Today we used our recyclables to make beautiful art pieces!
(we washed and recycled the containers afterwards)
We had a little fun with some Velcro balls
and also had a picnic!
During small groups we have started working on patterns.
Remember to do this at home as well, or even at the store or wherever you go!
The children will tell you that we had 4 boys and 4 girls yesterday.
We made a pattern of girl boy girl boy and they were so excited!
With our recycle study we are having fun with all the great items you have all brought in!
Thank you so much and keep them coming!
We read an interesting book from the study called "I Stink!"
It's about a garbage truck that eats all the stinky trash :)
We smelled some of our items in the recycle bin to see if we could tell if they were stinky or
if they smelled good.
Most of them smelled good :)
The Milk jug...not so much :)
We also had Growing in Grace today!
They are growing SO fast!!
Remember to ASK your children what they did or learned each week.
You will be surprised at how much they have learned and how much they take it with these fun
Studies that we are doing.
Happy Wednesday!!
