calling all vets

We had some sick animals in need of care. It's a good thing we had a whole classroom full of veterinarians. They performed a variety of procedures from simple checkups to surgeries.

I am happy to report that the animals received the highest quality of care from our wonderful vets!

Egg-periments

Egg-periments in the 3's class

Do you think an egg will sink or float in water?  Some of us thought it would sink, and some thought it would float.  We learned that it sinks.....

 But......what if I add salt to the water? 

 The egg rose to the top of the water. We talked about how the salt changes the density of the water. The 3's class had fun saying density with me. :)

Next, I placed an egg in a cup of vinegar overnight. When we came in the next day, the shell was gone. I let everyone take turns feeling the shell-less egg. Pretty neat!

Benen's Potty Party!
